Immunothermotherapy and related TNS induction in mice.

Induction of tumor necrosis factor in sera (TNS) as a multidisciplinary cancer therapy by the administration of a combination of 2-carboxyethylgermanium sesquioxide (Ge-132) and lipopolysaccharide (LPS) on Meth-A sarcoma-bearing mice was attempted.

In addition to the above TNS induction therapy (TNS therapy) per se, the potential on the above parameters by employing a multidisciplinary cancer therapy (immunothermotherapy), in which TNS therapy was coupled with regional hyperthermia treatment, was investigated.

This immunothermotherapy enhanced the antitumor effects produced by the above TNS therapy.
